The main features of the offered test are: increasing the complexity level within a single test, the convenience of completing , graphic design and verification, the productivity , objectivity , multi-functionality and the possibility of using test variants as adaptive-training. The novelty of the work is to create and use a new type of controlling test ing materials, which ensure the phased systematic monitoring of the level of language competence of foreign students throughout their period of study at the preparatory y f aculty. The author concludes that the introduction into the educational process of a combined system of educational materials containing both traditional means of control and a modern test of a multilevel structure, optimizes the control process and improves the quality of measurement and assessment of the level of language competence of foreign students. .
