A função da escrita criativa no ensino da língua estrangeira

Abstract: O presente relatório mostra de que forma a competência escrita de alunos de diferentes faixas etárias pode ser desenvolvida e melhorada através da implementação de aulas que estimulem a dimensão criativa dos alunos, sendo esta, ainda que em medidas diferentes, inata ao ser humano. O uso de input variado e a capacidade de o professor se familiarizar com a especificidade da turma são fundamentais para o sucesso final das tarefas de escrita criativa, pois esse sucesso depende da motivação do aluno face à tarefa apresentada. A prática repetida de tarefas de escrita criativa, ao apelar à sensibilidade do aluno, contribui também para o reforço da autoconfiança e da capacidade de pensamento crítico do mesmo, tornando, desta forma, o clima da sala de aula gradualmente mais favorável à aprendizagem. Tendo em conta que o desenvolvimento da competência da escrita passa pelo reforço da capacidade de leitura, o presente relatório revela como vários tipos de textos literários foram ‘trabalhados’ com base na criatividade dos alunos. Atraídos pela dimensão lúdica e subjetiva das tarefas de escrita criativa propostas, e determinados a traduzir as ideias em palavras, os alunos familiarizaram-se com aspetos específicos da língua/cultura estrangeira tornando possível, desta forma, conciliar as tarefas criativas realizadas com os conteúdos programáticos. ; The present thesis shows how the written skills of students of different ages can be enhanced by taking advantage of the different levels of creativity they all have. The variety of input used and the capacity of the teacher to understand the fundamentals of every group of students taps into their motivation to complete the task, which is crucial to triggering a creative response. Also, the repetition of creative written tasks, which appeals to students’ sensitivities, strengthens both students’ self-confidence and logical thinking skills, making the atmosphere of the classroom gradually more favourable to learning. As written and reading skills are interdependent, throughout the present thesis we explain how different kinds of literary texts can be used as starting point for creative tasks. Attracted by the playful and subjective dimensions that creative tasks involve, and determined to put their ideas into words, students manage to deepen specific linguistic/cultural aspects of the language making it possible for the teacher to reach expected curricular learning outcomes and objectives.
