A chegada dos portugueses à China permitiu a aproximação e a compreensão de duas culturas distintas e a relação, criada e desenvolvida, entre ambos tem-se mostrado vantajosa para ambos os países. Com este trabalho pretende-se analisar a evolução das relações entre Portugal- China ao longo destes 500 anos, focando-se nas relações políticas e económicas, fazendo por isso, um enquadramento histórico das mesmas e um enquadramento da evolução económica chinesa. Para uma relação se tornar tão duradoura como esta, o diálogo é a chave para o sucesso. Veremos que a comunicação é orientada pela cultura e que esta desempenha um papel importante na aproximação e afastamento de países, e mais concretamente, empresas. Para além destas análises, focar-me-ei no meu estágio numa empresa de serviços relacionados com a China, e nas conclusões e desafios que senti durante o mesmo. ; The maritime expansion accomplished by the European countries in the early 15th century reformed the means of communication between different people. The arrival of the Portuguese to China allowed two very distinct cultures to comprehend one another as well as come together and their relationship, formed and nurtured, has proved to have become advantageous for both countries. It is this paper’s aim to analyze Portugal and China’s relationship’s this past 500 years by focusing on economic and political relations through its historical framework as well as China’s economic evolution’s. In order for a relationship to become as long lasting as this one, dialogue is the key to success. We will see that communication is driven by culture and that the later has a major role in countries’ advances or distances, and specifically, between companies.
