In a second part, we show how this historical and genetic declension of the concept of device leads to the current scientific model of what any device is: the Turing model, otherwise known under the technical name of Turing machine. Once the limits of the Turing model have been identified, we expose in a third and final part the reasons that allow us to introduce the notion of diagrammatic device, which is, according to us, the principle of a new type of modelling: diagrammatic modelling. ; Cet article montre dans un premier temps comment la modélisation spatiale et temporelle des objets de l’expérience en général conduit à l’idée de dispositif graphique. En exposant la déclinaison historico-génétique du concept de dispositif, nous montrons dans une deuxième partie dans quelle mesure cette déclinaison conduit au modèle scientifique actuel de ce qu’est tout dispositif : le modèle de Turing autrement connu sous le nom technique de machine de Turing. Une fois identifiées les limites du modèle de Turing, nous exposons dans une troisième et dernière partie les raisons qui nous autorisent à introduire la notion de dispositif diagrammatique, qui est selon nous au principe d’un nouveau type de modélisation : la modélisation diagrammatique.
