Abstract: Undated photocopied and mimeographed pages with annotations in ink. Comparative vocabulary with ethnobotanical notes for each species. Most data are from Cahuilla, Luiseno, and Diegueno, but some pages include other languages identified by abbreviations: YUM (presumably Yuma); GAB (presumably Gabrielino); TUB (presumably Tubatulabal); OVP (presumably Owens Vally Paiute); CHU (perhaps Chukchansi, or Chumash); ND, SD, and KAM (interpretation of abbreviations uncertain). (The digital files associated with this Item include a series of scanned images from original physical objects. These images are aggregated at lower resolution in the file AA.024.pdf. The original full resolution scans are collected in AA.024.zip. Metadata pertaining to each scanned image is compiled in the tab-separated text file AA.024-image_metadata.txt.)
Keyword: Cahuilla language; Diegueño; Gabrielino; Kumiai language; Luiseño; Luiseno language; Mono (USA) language; Owens Valley Paiute; Quechan language; Tubatulabal; Tübatulabal language; Yuma
