Abstract:
In der Gesangsschule El cantor instruido o Maestro aliviado (Madrid 1754) stellt Manuel Cavaza verschiedene Systeme zur Handhabung von Solmisationssilben einander gegenüber. Neben der guidonischen Solmisation mit Hexachorden und Mutationen stellt er zwei Methoden ohne Mutation sowie eine Art ›Tonika-Do-System‹ mittels Schlüsselsimulation vor. Cavazas Manuskript ist ein hervorragendes Zeugnis der Vielfalt von Solfège-Traditionen an der europäischen Peripherie in der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts.
