Abstract: In questo contributo viene affrontato il tema della valutazione del parlato. In particolare ci si sofferma, nell’ambito del testing linguistico, sugli aspetti metodologici primari nel processo di elaborazione di un test, quali la definizione del costrutto e la scrittura delle specifiche. Le prove orali delle principali certificazioni della lingua italiana per i livelli avanzati vengono prese in considerazione. Viene presentato infine un test elaborato presso la Libera Università di Bolzano per la valutazione dell’abilità orale. Evaluating student speaking: implications on language testing This paper focuses on the assessment of speaking in language testing. In particular, attention is drawn to the primary steps in test development, such as definition of constructs and writing the specifications. The speaking sections of the main certifications for Italian are taken into consideration. A test to evaluate oral ability developed at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is presented.
