Abstract:
Diese Arbeit geht der Frage nach, unter welchen Voraussetzungen spätbeginnender Lateinunterricht ab Klasse 9 stattfindet und wie die sich hieraus ergebenden lehrgangsspezifischen Chancen und Schwierigkeiten für die Konzeption von Lateinunterricht genutzt werden können. Als Ausgangspunkt der Untersuchung wird eine Schule in Berlin als Fallbeispiel vorgestellt, an der sich der spätbeginnende Lateinunterricht mit seinen Vor- und Nachteilen in der praktischen Umsetzung darstellen lässt. Die sich anschließende theoretische Charakterisierung der Lehr- und Lernvoraussetzungen des Lehrgangs zeigt in den Kategorien Alter, Fremdsprachenkenntnisse und Lernmotivation die großen Unterschiede zum Frühbeginn auf, woraus sich nicht nur die Notwendigkeit für ein eigenes Konzept ergibt, sondern auch erste Implikationen für die Gestaltung dieses Lateinlehrgangs abgeleitet werden können. Ausgehend davon wird ein eigenes Konzept für den Spätbeginn entwickelt, das dem Prinzip der "Kulturellen Mehrsprachigkeit" in der Multivalenz ... : This thesis addresses the question of how the circumstances of teaching Latin to older students differ from Latin for young pupils and how those different conditions require a new and more suitable concept of Latin teaching. Starting with a case study of Latin at a school in Berlin, where Latin is taught from Year 9 onwards, the main advantages and disadvantages of such a Latin course are observed from a practical point of view. In the following theoretical characterisation of learning conditions, it is shown how teaching and learning Latin works differently in this type of course with regard to age, knowledge of other foreign languages and motivation. Therefore, a specific concept that complies with those preconditions is very much needed. From these special circumstances, implications for a suitable design of a Latin course for older students can be drawn.
