Phonological Contrast and Conflict in Dutch Vowels: Neurobiological and Psycholinguistic Evidence from Children and Adults ...
Rue, N.P.W.D. De. - : Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS), 2022
Abstract: This dataset belongs to the dissertation by Nadine de Rue entitled ?Phonological Contrast and Conflict in Dutch vowels: Neurobiological and Psycholinguistic evidence from Children and Adults?. In the dissertation, the so-called Featurally Underspecified Lexicon model is tested against a variety of (experimental) data on the Dutch mid vowel system in children and adults. In this dissertation, experiments are conducted to answer the question how labiality and place features are represented in the Dutch vowel system. This is tested through perception experiments in adults and children assessing perceptual asymmetries in vowel changes or mispronunciations of vowels. In the dissertation, three experiments are included, respectively described in Chapter 2, 3 and 4 of the dissertation. The current dataset contains the data belonging to these three experiments: 1. An EEG experiment in Dutch adults ? belonging to chapter 2: Asymmetric processing of place and labiality: Electrophysiological evidence. The dataset ...
