Abstract:
In den letzten Jahren hat linguistische Diversität in Italien, legal definiert als Minderheitensprachen, einen besorgniserregenden Rückgang erfahren. Obwohl der Titel hohes Prestige hat gegenüber den Dialekten, wird die Sprache gleichzeitig als Teil einer subalternen Minderheit abgetan, obwohl es gerade darum ging, sie zu bewahren und zu schützen. Die Rezeptionsgeschichte traditioneller Tänze in Süditalien ist dem geradezu entgegengesetzt. Besonders die Tarantellaformen nach Ernesto De Martinos Studie über das Ende der Pizzica taranta in Salento (La terra del rimorso, 1961) lösten Folklore als eine urbane Mode aus, die sich nun über Massenevents mit großem medialen Aufwand als "Neotarantismo" inszeniert, ohne irgendein ernsthaftes Interesse für die noch bestehende reiche Vielfalt ländlicher Tanztraditionen zu entwickeln. Es ist offenbar eine wenig bekannte Tatsache, dass "Balkanminderheiten" lokale Traditionen zwischen den Abruzzen bis nach Sizilien geprägt haben, die heute als etwas wahrgenommen werden, das ... : During the last years linguistic diversity in whole Italy had to face a serious decline. It has been neglected and dismissed as a certain minority culture, although the term was once used to protect minorities. The reception of traditional dance in Southern Italy is quite different, especially tarantella, after Ernesto De Martino’s study about the end of the Salentine pizzica taranta (La terra del rimorso, 1961), has caused an urban folk fashion which celebrates itself as “Neo-Tarantismo” in mass media events without showing any serious curiosity in the still existing rich diversity of rural dance traditions. The obviously unknown fact is that Balkan minorities have created the local traditions between Abruzzo and Sicily which are perceived today as something which belongs to everyone (a majority or mainstream culture).
