Abstract:
; The language of materiality offers clues to understanding the relations between the Tupiniquim and the Portuguese in São Paulo, Brazil. They articulated practices in a bilingual environment, whose historical trajectory led to the emergence of what Brazilian linguistics called Língua Geral Paulista (LGP). In this article, with a different perspective from the dominant historiography that erased the autonomy of women, considering them as monolingual, we show eloquent evidence of their performance in social relations, in food security, taming the linguistic and ceramic practices of the Portuguese, where orality was a central factor of sociability and unbreakable trajectories. ; info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion
