En particular, se hace un acercamiento a la reconstrucción del yo-lírico y la representación de la mujer que hicieron Silvina Ocampo (1949), Octavio Paz (1954) y Eliseo Diego (1991) desde su posición de poetas-traductores latinoamericanos durante el siglo XX. A partir de las ideas que Antoine Berman y Lance Hewson proponen sobre la crítica de la traducción, se aborda tanto el perfil de cada traductor como un estudio que parte del análisis de pasajes específicos y observa sus efectos en el texto completo. De esta manera, se muestra cómo las variantes permiten lecturas distintas del poema, que en ocasiones resultan opuestas. Se trata de tres formas de llevar al español un texto escrito en un contexto ajeno tanto en lo cultural como en lo temporal. ; This paper presents a contrastive analysis on three translations of Andrew Marvell’s poem “To His Coy Mistress” (1681). It consists of an approach to the reconstruction of the “lyrical I” and the representation of woman as done by Silvina Ocampo (1949), Octavio Paz (1954) and Eliseo Diego (1991) from their position as Latin American poets and translators during the twentieth century. Based on the ideas proposed by Antoine Berman and Lance Hewson on translation criticism, the profile of each translator is taken into account before doing a study that parts from the analysis of specific excerpts and observes their effects on the text as a whole. Finally, it is shown how each variant allows different readings of the poem, which occasionally oppose one another. These are three ways to take into Spanish a text that is foreign both culturally and temporally.
