Abstract:
El objetivo del presente trabajo es presentar una propuesta de traducción del inglés al español para la novela corta You are the only friend I need, escrita por el escritor dominicano afincado en Nueva York Alejandro Heredia, publicada en 2021 por Gold Line Press. Ganadora del Gold Line Press Fiction Chapbook Contest del 2019, la novela está dividida en varios relatos que tratan temas como la amistad, la lucha interior o la diversidad sexual, racial, cultural, geográfica y lingüística. Se realiza un estudio previo sobre el multilingüismo, variaciones dialectales y la alteración de códigos, así como de las teorías queer y la traducción inclusiva, para conocer las estrategias idóneas para afrontar con garantías la traducción de la obra. ; The aim of this paper is to present a translation proposal, from English to Spanish, of the short novel You are the only friend I need, written by the New York based Dominican writer Alejandro Heredia, published in 2021 by Gold Line Press. Winner of the 2019 Gold Line Press Fiction Chapbook Contest, the novel is divided into several stories that deal with themes such as friendship, inner struggle or sexual, racial, cultural geographical and linguistic diversity. A preliminary study is carried out on multilingualism, dialect variations and codes-switching, as well as queer theories and inclusive translation, in order to find out the ideal strategies to confront the translation of the work with certain guarantees. ; L'objectiu del present treball és presentar una proposta de traducció de l'anglès a l'espanyol per a la novel·la curta You are the only friend I need, escrita per l'escriptor dominicà establert a Nova York Alejandro Heredia, publicada el 2021 per Gold Line Press. Guanyadora del Gold Line Press Fiction Chapbook Contest del 2019, la novel·la està dividida en diversos relats que tracten temes com l'amistat, la lluita interior o la diversitat sexual, racial, cultural, geogràfica i lingüística. Es realitza un estudi previ sobre el multilingüisme, variacions dialectals i l'alteració de codis, així com de les teories queer i la traducció inclusiva, per conèixer les estratègies idònies per afrontar amb garanties la traducció de l'obra.
