; Starting from the enunciative studies of Émile Benveniste and combining them with the field of language acquisition – mainly with the shifts operated by Silva (2009a), who conceives acquisition as an act of enunciation –, the aim of this research is to show the subjective value the child attributes for the forms that he/she updates in his/her speech, considering cultural elements as constituents of language and, consequently, of his/her enunciative act. We intend to comprehend how the child, in his/her act of mother tongue acquisition, builds forms to produce references in his/her speech for something that does not belong to the discourse, but that is present in his/her utterances. The study hypothesis is that the subjective value constituted in the references (he), and that is updated in child’s and others’ speeches, contains the rudiments of culture where the child and the other are both immersed. For this, we focused on Benveniste’s reflexion about the dual nature relational of the language, related to the structure of the address (I-you) and to the reference operation (he). This dual nature is constitutive of each act of enunciation and of enunciative acts that are updated by the child and by the other of his speech. This research was also based in the enunciative dispositive created by Silva (2009a), which contains the subjects of the enunciation (I-you), the updated references (he) and, also, the cultural system (HE) involved in the language, building the configuration (I-you/he)HE. The discussion is going to be mediated by the data published by Silva (2009a) of a child followed from 11 months until 3 years and 4 months old, that are going to be reviewed in this study from a cultural-enunciative approach of language acquisition. With the analysis, it is concluded that the singular way the child – for the necessity to refer to the other of his utterance – updates the forms in the discourse testifies the subjectivity of his act of language acquisition, showing the cultural values of this act with notions and prescriptions – that are also in appropriation process –, that comes from men society where the child is immersed. Therefore, the rudiments of culture are also involved in reference operation from the act of language acquisition.
