The purpose of this study is to know the features in different countries by comparing the content of the textbooks. On the other hand, comparing the ideas and goals of Grade 1-9 Curriculum Guidelines, Curriculum Guidelines of 12-year Basic Education and New Curriculum Guidelines in Japan in 2017. Last of all, examining the textbooks from two publishers whether they meet the topics of Global Education Guidelines or not. According to the comparison of the textbooks, the results are as follows:1. There are differences on curriculum goals and learning behaviors between Taiwan and Japan.2. There are differences on the contents between “Story.com” and “We Can!”3. The textbooks are not highly consistent with the Global Education Guidelines. According to the results of this study, the researcher provides some suggestions for the teachers, publishers and future researches.
