Premier chapitre : Avec les TIC, l’absence physique de l’enseignant pose les problèmes de la distance. La machine qui remplacerait l’homme est une situation souvent mal vécue par l’enseignant et l’apprenant. L’enseignant se sent menacé dans son existence. L’apprenant attend un véritable tutorat. Les caractéristiques, les atouts et les inconvénients de l’interactivité des TIC sont analysées. Les problèmes de linguistique se posent dans un enseignement par Internet où les processus de réparation de l’enseignement présentiel, n’existent pas. Deuxième chapitre : Dans une première série d’enquêtes, l’objectif était de mieux connaître l’évolution de l’accessibilité des TIC et du niveau de compétences dans l’utilisation de l’informatique, chez les étudiants hospitalier en 4ème année d’études de médecine dans la faculté de Strasbourg sur une période de 5 ans. Une deuxième enquête a concerné les internes en chirurgie de Strasbourg. Elle portait sur les moyens actuels de leur formation en chirurgie et la place des TIC. Troisième chapitre : Le comportement de l’apprenant face à l’enseignement électronique restait à découvrir ainsi que les résultats de l’enseignement électronique sur la qualité du savoir. Les résultats de notre observation et d’une série d’entretiens semi-directifs devraient permettre d’aider à l’élaboration d’un enseignement électronique. L'Internet est considéré comme un complément des formations traditionnelles. Les étudiants ne développent pas nettement de nouvelles manières d’apprendre. La validité scientifique de l’enseignement électronique est encore incertaine. De plus, la publication sur Internet n’est pas reconnue par un facteur d’impact et demeure ainsi peu encouragée pour les rédacteurs potentiels. Les simulateurs de chirurgie sont une proposition attrayante en cours de développement pour l’enseignement de la chirurgie, autorisant l’apprentissage de gestes et le développement de certaines habiletés chirurgicales. Elle pourrait donner toutes ses lettres de noblesse à l’enseignement de la chirurgie par les TIC. ; The advent of new informations technologies (NIT) during the medical studies and more precisely in surgery reveals numerous questions. First section : With NIT, the absence of the teacher seems to be a problem and puts a new distance between the teacher and the student. The computer which could stand in for the teacher is often badly received. The teacher feels to be on the line, while the student asks for a tutor. The main characteristics, the advantages and the disadvantages of interactivity in NIT are noticed. Linguistic problems exist in education via Internet. Second section: The first study aimed to explore the accessibility of NIT and the ability for students in medicine using NIT in the University of Strasbourg between 2001 and 2005. Students during the fourth year of medical studies replied to a questionnaire about their computer equipment and the use for this product. Additionally they could add their own remarks about the place of NIT during their formation. The second study aimed to explore the means of learning surgery and the place of NIT for fellows in surgery in Strasbourg University. Third section: The student behaviour and the performance in the learning medical programme with NIT remained to be explored. Results of this study and of interviews should help to develop a good pedagogy with NIT. Internet seems just to add a further training. Students do not develop new way of learning with NIT. Scientific validity of NIT still remains unsettled. Publications on Internet have no impact factor. It is not encouraging for potential authors. Simulators in surgery are still under consideration. They may help for teaching and learning basic skills and more important surgical procedures. They could be the future for NIT during the surgical education.
