Abstract:
Die vorliegende Arbeit zielt darauf ab, die starke Hinwendung zum Monolog, die sich im europäischen Theater und Theaterschreiben seit den 1960er Jahren konstatieren lässt, zu thematisieren, theaterhistorisch einzuordnen und ästhetisch zu verorten. Den Gegenstand der Arbeit stellen nicht-dramatische bzw. postdramatische Theatertexte und -aufführungen dar, die sich zeitlich von den 1960er Jahren bis zur Gegenwart erstrecken und in denen die monologische Form als Organisationsprinzip zugrunde gelegt wird. In der vorliegenden Dissertation werden Theatertexte von Thomas Bernhard, Philippe Minyana, Samuel Beckett, Dea Loher, Dimitris Dimitriadis, Sarah Kane, Rainald Goetz, Forced Entertainment, Falk Richter, Elfriede Jelinek und René Pollesch und Inszenierungen von Andreas Kriegenburg, Thomas Ostermeier, Falk Richter, Jossi Wieler, Rimini Protokoll und René Pollesch besprochen und analysiert. Dabei dient der von Bachtins dialogischer Theorie übernommene aber neu konzeptualisierte Begriff der Monologizität als ... : The present thesis aims to thematize, classify and contextualize, both historically and aesthetically, the strong turn towards monologue in the European theatre and theatrical writing since the 1960s. The research object consists of non-dramatic and postdramatic theatre texts and performances, ranging in time from the 1960s to the present, in which the monological form used as the organizing principle. This dissertation discusses and analyzes theatre texts by Thomas Bernhard, Philippe Minyana, Samuel Beckett, Dea Loher, Dimitris Dimitriadis, Sarah Kane, Rainald Goetz, Forced Entertainment, Falk Richter, Elfriede Jelinek, and René Pollesch and productions by Andreas Kriegenburg, Thomas Ostermeier, Falk Richter, Jossi Wieler, Rimini Protokoll, and René Pollesch.
