El elemento léxico árabe en el habla viva de los marineros gaditanos

Abstract:
In 2012, we interviewed over thirty fishermen fromthe province ofCadiz,asking them aboutthe namesthey use for items related to the sea, using atraditional method known as “Words and Things”. Fromthe 682 vocablesdocumented, twelve areArabisms: albitana, alcatruz, almadraba, arráez, atalaya, atarraya, falucho, jábega, jareta, safina, salabarandzafar. In this article we will study eight:albitana,alcatruz, arráez, atalaya, atarraya, falucho, jábegaandjareta. We will be analyzing them, firstly, by specifying the informant thatoffered the arabismas a response, as well as the location where the responsewas documented. Secondly,we will givemeaningsand spellingvariants. Thirdly,wewill address etymologicalaspects. Finally, we will perform a morphologic and semantic analysiswith the aimof demonstratingpossible changes in category or meaning, and thus determine the causes and effects fortheirsemantic change. ; En 2012 entrevistamos a más de treint pescadores gaditanos con el fin de preguntarles por las cosas de lamar y sus nombres, haciendo uso del método tradicional Palabras y cosas. De las 682 voces documentadas,doce son arabismos: albitana, alcatruz, almadraba, arráez, atalaya, atarraya, falucho, jábega, jareta, safina,salabaryzafar.En este artículo estudiaremos ocho:albitana, alcatruz, arráez, atalaya, atarraya, falucho, jábegay jareta.Para su análisis, en primer lugar, especificaremos el informante que dio como respuesta el arabismo, la localidaden la que se documentóy sus variantes gráficas. En segundolugar, daremos su significado marinero y abordaremos los aspectos etimológicos. Por último, realizaremos un análisis morfológico y semántico con el fin de mostrar posibles cambios de categoría ode significadoyasídeterminar las causas y efectosdelcambio semántico.
