Abstract: O objetivo deste estudo é contribuir para o conhecimento do desenvolvimento da sensibilidade das crianças portuguesas para as sequências grafémicas na fase inicial de aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita. Trata-se de uma competência sublexical de particular importância na aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita (Apel, Thomas-Tate, Wilson-Fowler e Brimo, 2012), constituindo-se como um forte aliado na escrita, já que permite uma alternativa muito menos custosa para a memória do que a memorização da forma inteira da representação ortográfica da palavra (Deacon et al., 2012). A investigação sugere que esta sensibilidade surge tão precocemente quanto o 1º ano de escolaridade (Danjon e Pacton, 2009). Apresentamos os resultados de um estudo longitudinal com quatro momentos de avaliação ao longo do 1º ano de escolaridade, realizado com 23 crianças falantes nativas do português europeu. ; Abstract The aim of this study is to contribute to the knowledge of the development of the Portuguese children's sensitivity to grammatical sequences in the initial stage of reading and writing acquisition. It is a sublexical competence of particular importance in the learning of reading and writing (Apel, Thomas-Tate, Wilson-Fowler and Brimo, 2012), representing a strong ally in writing, since it allows a far less costly alternative to memory than the memorization of the entire form of the word's orthographic representation (Deacon et al., 2012). Research suggests that this sensitivity emerges as early as the first grade (Danjon and Pacton, 2009). We present the results of a longitudinal study with four assessment moments during the first grade with 23 European Portuguese speaking children. ; Résumé Le but de cette étude est de contribuer à la connaissance du développement de la sensibilité des enfants portugais aux séquences graphémiques, pendant la période initiale de l’apprentissage de la lecture et de l'écriture. Il s’agit d’une compétence sous-lexicale d'une importance particulière pour l'apprentissage de la lecture et de l’écriture (Apel, Thomas-Tate, Wilson-Fowler et Brimo, 2012), puisqu’il s’agit d’un allié pour l’écrit, car elle permet une alternative beaucoup moins coûteuse pour la mémoire que la mémorisation de la forme entière de la représentation orthographique du mot (Deacon et al., 2012). La recherche suggère que cette sensibilité survient dès la 1ère année de scolarité (Danjon et Nooteboom, 2009).
