Abstract:
This paper presents the influence of Dravidian language and its acquired characteristics on the secondary language. In this paper the three Dravidian languages, namely, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu were considered for studying the regional language features on English language (secondary language). The present study has been conducted by taking handwriting exemplar of 565 subjects and focus has been made on the Handwriting features of secondary language due to primary language. The main objective of the work is to observe what effect, if any, between two well- known scripts of the Handwriting of the same subject is carrying. The observations of this paper have shown that writer carrying the individual characters from the primary language while writing the secondary language. Handwriting and its uniqueness are a result of our subconscious mind and the same is observed in this study where the writer has picked up his or her frequently used individual characters from his or her primary language into the English ...
