Abstract:
The pedagogic study of Spanish and its idioms has boomed in the last few years. However, the academic research that links these units of vocabulary with the development of emotional intelligence and interculturalism, remains wide open and full of opportunities. The following work is specifically aimed, although not exclusively, at Spanish secondary schools abroad and its purpose is to offer a strategic and methodological approach to enhance the range of vocabulary of the student body in such centres, through a series of workshops ELE at the higher levels B2, C1 and C2 on emotional intelligence and interculturalism. The teaching and learning community in these institutions is usually characterised by the great sociolinguistic and cultural diversity of its pupils and their staff, as well as the underlying challenges determined by their given educational and social environment. It is precisely this international dimension, with Spanish as the common thread, that makes them the ideal context for a project such as this, one that aspires, amongst other objectives, to facilitate intercultural empathy and social awareness within a multidisciplinary and global perspective. ; A pesar de que en los últimos años los estudios fraseológicos de la lengua española han recibido un impulso considerable tanto a nivel didáctico como pedagógico, el campo de investigación sobre el aprendizaje de las unidades fraseológicas del castellano en relación con el desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional y la interculturalidad se presenta fértil, con amplias posibilidades teóricas y prácticas aún por explorar. La siguiente propuesta está dirigida específicamente, aunque no de forma exclusiva, a institutos de educación secundaria españoles en el extranjero y su fin es el de ofrecer una propuesta estratégica y metodológica sobre la que fomentar el enriquecimiento del léxico del alumnado de dichos centros en el marco de unas jornadas ELE de niveles superiores B2, C1 y C2 sobre educación emocional e interculturalidad. La comunidad educativa en estas instituciones suele caracterizarse por la gran diversidad sociolingüística y cultural de sus alumnos y profesores, así como por los retos subyacentes a su peculiar realidad formativa y social. Es precisamente esta dimensión internacional, con el español como vaso conductor, la que los convierte en el contexto idóneo para un proyecto como este, que espera, entre otros objetivos, favorecer la empatía intercultural y la concienciación ciudadana desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar y global.
