Abstract:
In 2011 the Brazilian government instituted the academic exchange program Science without Borders. With the program emerged the following question: not all the students selected for the program had English language proficiency to study abroad. The solution was the establishment of the English without Borders Program, which started to offer face-to-face classes, and the purchase of an online course called My English Online. The prerequisite to attend classes until May 2015 was to be enrolled and active in the My English Online course. The purpose of this article is to describe the relationship of a group of students from the English without Borders Program with the online course My English Online. ; No ano de 2011 o governo brasileiro instituiu o programa de intercâmbios acadêmicos Ciência sem Fronteiras. Com o programa surgiu a seguinte questão: nem todos os alunos selecionados para o programa tinham proficiência em língua inglesa para estudar fora do país. A solução foi a instituição do Programa Inglês sem Fronteiras, que passou a ofertar aulas presenciais, e a compra de um curso on-line, o My English Online. O pré-requisito para participar das aulas, até maio de 2015, era estar matriculado e ativo no My English Online. O objetivo deste trabalho é descrever a relação de um grupo de alunos do Inglês sem Fronteiras com o My English Online.
