Abstract:
Depuis des siècles, la fabrication d’un livre a toujours exigé le savoir-faire d’un éditeur. Tout écrivain souhaitant être publié et atteindre les étals des librairies devait de facto suivre le chemin éditorial qu’ont tracé les grandes maisons de l’édition depuis plus d’un siècle. Toutefois, avec l’arrivée dans les années 1990 du web, de nouveaux circuits éditoriaux, comme la plateforme d’auto-édition de type Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) d’Amazon, vont voir le jour, donnant la possibilité aux auteurs de faire livre par eux-mêmes. N’importe quel auteur peut aujourd’hui se publier très rapidement sans passer par le chemin balisé d’un professionnel de l’imprimé. À quoi bon attendre des semaines ou des mois l’éventuelle réponse d’un éditeur, jusqu’ici incontournable, pour éditer son manuscrit quand on peut le créer et le publier en quelques instants, en toute autonomie, sur internet ? ; Instagram has quickly become the central social network for staging books in a world where readers organise the thread of their readings in showcases and display their tastes, in an usual quest for clout or likes. Who are those who have become the influencers? To what extent can book professionals recover or even manipulate them? Can these accounts be tampered with? Can the number of subscribers be ‘rigged’? Are these digital content creators pure disinterested amateurs or aspiring professionals who want to monetize the visibility of their pages or posts? And what impact do they have on the reality of sales? What about the blogger awards or reading challenges that are launched by these social networks? ; Desde hace siglos, la fabricación de un libro ha exigido siempre el saber de un editor. Todo escritor que deseara ser publicado y llegar a los puestos de las librerías debía seguir de hecho el camino editorial que han trazado las grandes casas editoras desde hace más de un siglo. Sin embargo, con la llegada en los años 1990 de la web, nuevos circuitos editoriales, como la plataforma de auto-edición de tipo Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) de Amazon, fueron viendo la luz, dando a los autores la posibilidad de hacer libros por sí mismos. Cualquier autor puede publicar hoy en unos pocos clics sin pasar por el camino marcado de un profesional de la edición. ¿Para qué esperar semanas o meses la posible respuesta de un editor, hasta ahora ineludible, para editar su manuscrito cuando es posible crearlo y publicarlo en unos instantes, con total autonomía, en Internet?
