L’être entre les mondes. Les notions de mythe et d’acte rituel sous le prisme des concepts de modalisation, de modalités et de modes d’existence

Abstract:
International audience ; Cet article propose une reconceptualisation des notions de mythe et d’acte rituel sous le prisme des concepts linguistico-sémiotiques de modalisation et de modes d’existence. Nous appréhendons les relations complexes entre « constructivisme », c’est-à-dire la possibilité de produire des mondes possibles par la parole, et « structuralisme traditionnel », c’est-à-dire les modalisations langagières inhérentes à toute mise en discours du monde à travers la médiation d’un système de signification conventionnel. D’une part les récits mythiques soutiennent que le monde tout entier est une production discursive, de l’autre les systèmes mythologiques ont été conçus avant tout comme des « idéologies », c’est-à-dire comme des systèmes de valeurs et de croyances. Ici la mythologie agît comme une organisation structurale de la signification et donc d’une exploitation des formes modales conventionnelles et propres à chaque système culturel, là, au contraire, la parole mythique s’offre comme une possibilité d’exploration et de création d’un sens non institutionnel, c’est-à-dire de nouvelles possibilités de modalisations locales et inouïes. Aussi, tout récit mythique élabore le monde possible d’un récit ou d’une pratique rituelle dans lequel se projeter et penser, en retour, le monde dans lequel on est plongé en tant que lecteur ou en tant que participant. Au fond, notre étude est guidée par la question suivante : en quoi l’étude des discours mythiques nous permet-elle d’appréhender, selon une perspective écologique du sens, la gestion des relations modales et modalisantes entre les divers mondes que nous habitons?
