Abstract:
... : The introduction of digital tools in language teaching, whether it be top-down (resulting from institutional demands) or bottom-up (at the teacher’s initiative), means the presence of new elements in the teachers’ existing thinking patterns and, depending on the teachers, may lead to different reactions. In this paper, we will see how three teachers of French as a foreign language position themselves in relation to different ICT tools available in their teaching activities. By using the activity theory (Léontiev, [1978]2009), we will try to analyze how the three teachers describe their practice, each being followed up by a longitudinal approach. The focus will be on their attitudes towards different digital tools as well as the ways in which they integrate them in their teacher thinking and teaching activities. ...
