脱文脈化の観点から見た共想法に基づく高齢者談話の分析

国立国語研究所 研究系 音声言語研究領域 非常勤研究員 ; 国立国語研究所 研究系 音声言語研究領域 ; 理化学研究所 革新知能統合研究センター ; Adjunct Researcher, Spoken Language Division, Research Department, NINJAL ; Spoken Language Division, Research Department, NINJAL ; RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP) ; 本研究は，高齢者の認知機能を補完しうる言語能力の指標として，脱文脈化観点が適用可能かを明らかにすることを目的に，その第一段階として，共想法によって収録された，高齢者による談話の性質を，脱文脈化の観点から明らかにするものである。共想法とは高齢者の認知的健康につながる会話を支援する手法で，脱文脈化の観点からの分析には，選択体系機能言語理論の枠組みの談話分析手法である修辞ユニット分析の分類法を用いた。修辞ユニット分析では，メッセージ（概ね節）という分析単位毎の修辞機能と脱文脈化指数を知ることができる。2種類のテーマに基づく共想法談話各3セッションを分析した結果，テーマ毎に多用される修辞機能が異なること，こうしたテーマ毎に多用される修辞機能が，複数のセッション，セッション内の「話題提供」と「質疑応答」の両パート，複数の参加者に共通して観察されることから，テーマに依存した基本的な修辞機能が存在することが分かった。また，「話題提供」ではテーマに依存しない個人特有と見られる修辞機能の使用も見られることや，個人として「話題提供」であまり用いない修辞機能を，他の参加者とのやりとりが生じる「質疑応答」の中で使用するケースもあることが分かった。 ; This paper aims to clarify the nature of the discourse of older adults recorded using the Coimagination Method, a conversation support method that aims to activate cognitive functions in older adults from the perspective of decontextualization, as the first step of a study analyzing whether the decontextualization perspective can be applied as an indicator of language ability to enhance the cognitive functioning of older adults. For analysis, we used the taxonomy of Rhetorical Unit Analysis, a discourse analysis method within the framework of Systemic Functional Linguistics. Rhetorical Unit Analysis provides information on the rhetorical function and decontextualization index of each unit of analysis, the "message" (a clause). We analyzed three sessions of the Coimagination Method discourse on two different themes. The results showed that the rhetorical functions used for each theme were different. Furthermore, the rhetorical functions used for each theme were commonly observed in multiple sessions across multiple individuals in both the "topic presentation" and "question-and-answer" parts of the sessions. In addition, it was found that some rhetorical functions that were not dependent on the theme were used in the "topic presentation," and that some rhetorical functions that were not often used in the "topic presentation" were used in the "question-and-answer" part.
