Abstract:
Durant el primer any de vida l’infant s’enfronta a diferents reptes, entre els quals cal destacar la difícil i complexa tasca d’aprendre la seva llengua materna. Avui en dia, en moltes societats coexisteixen gran varietat de llengües. Així doncs, molts infants no només adquireixen una única llengua sinó que sovint n’adquireixen dues o més. És important tenir en compte que durant els primers mesos de vida, l’infant d’entorn lingüístic bilingüe mostra una habilitat notable i remarcable per percebre i diferenciar els dos sistemes lingüístics diferents als quals està exposat. Aquí revisarem alguns dels estudis experimentals més destacats sobre adquisició de la parla en infants d’entorn bilingüe, que desvelen les primeres fites o assoliments més destacats implicats en aquest procés d’adquisició de les llengües de l’entorn familiar durant el primer any de vida. ; During the first year of life the infant faces several challenges, including the difficult and complex task of learning their native language. Nowadays the coexistence of different languages is common in many societies. Therefore, many infants often not only acquire a single language, but two or more. It is important to note that during the first months of life, bilingual infants display a notable and remarkable ability to perceive and differentiate the two different linguistic systems they are exposed to. Here, we review some of the experimental studies on speech acquisition in infants exposed to a bilingual environment. Specifically, we describe the first outstanding achievements or milestones involved in the process of acquiring multiple native languages during the first year of life. ; Durante el primer año de vida el bebé se enfrenta a diferentes retos, entre los que cabe destacar la difícil y compleja tarea de aprender su lengua materna. Hoy en día, en muchas sociedades coexisten gran variedad de lenguas. Así pues, muchos bebés no sólo adquieren una única lengua sino que a menudo adquieren dos o más. Es importante tener en cuenta que durante los primeros meses de vida, el bebé de entorno lingüístico bilingüe muestra una habilidad notable y remarcable para percibir y diferenciar los dos sistemas lingüísticos diferentes a que está expuesto. Aquí revisaremos algunos de los estudios experimentales más destacados sobre adquisición del habla en bebés de entorno bilingüe, que desvelan los primeros hitos o logros más destacados implicados en este proceso de adquisición de las lenguas del entorno familiar durante el primer año de vida.
