音韻遷移現象之研究: 以高屏地區國小學童為例 ; Cross-language Transfer of Phonological Awareness in Taiwan’s Elementary School Children
Abstract: 本研究以兩百五十名來自高屏地區原住民地區及一般地區國小一二年級學生為研究對象,探討中en-US音韻覺識以及中en-US語言能力之間的關係。 本研究主要發現如下:一、 皮爾森相關分析顯示zh-TW語言能力與en-US語言能力及zh-TW音韻覺識能力相關;en-US語言能力與zh-TW音韻覺識能力及en-US音韻覺識能力相關;zh-TW音韻能力及en-US音韻能力相關。二、 由費雪Z轉換結果顯示,在一二年級和不同語言背景(原住民家庭或非原住民家庭)中,中en-US音韻覺識以及中en-US語言能力之間仍呈現顯著相關。三、 多元階層迴歸結果顯示在控制了學童的性別、語言能力後,zh-TW音韻覺識能力在en-US音韻覺識能力表現上仍有解釋顯著的變異量,表示zh-TW音韻能力有遷移的現象。根據上述結果,本研究支持其它研究的看法,認為zh-TW音韻能力在en-US的音韻能力有一定的貢獻,並提出相關建議,供往後研究參考。 ; The purpose of this study was to investigate cross-language transfer of phonological awareness in elementary school students in Taiwan. A total of 250 first and second graders, with indigenous or non-indigenous background from elementary schools in Kaohsiung City and Pingtung County, participated in the present study. The main findings are presented as follows: 1) the results of Pearson correlation revealed that Mandarin Chinese proficiency was correlated with English proficiency and Mandarin Chinese phonological awareness, 2) English proficiency was correlated with English phonological awareness and Mandarin Chinese phonological awareness, 3) Mandarin Chinese phonological awareness was correlated with English phonological awareness. In addition, the results of Fisher -Ztransformation Z-test showed that the relationship between language proficiency and phonological awareness is evident both in 1st and 2nd grade elementary students and those with different language backgrounds (indigenous and non-indigenous students).The results of hierarchical regression analysis, moreover, showed that cross-language transfer of phonological awareness from Mandarin Chinese to English was evident. It is hoped that the findings of this study will provide some insight for English teaching and further research in the future.
