Abstract: International audience ; The analysis of texts is still a challenge since it is born from the meeting of several scientific disciplines such as linguistics, statistics, and computer science, among others. This challenge is even greater if we consider the textual diversity contained in social media, more specifically in tweets. This book chapter considers the basic and practical aspects of social media analysis for the study of food products. In addition, a case study is presented using smoked bacon as an object of study.
