Abstract:
The goal of this master’s thesis was a linguistic analysis of the influence of the English version of the Helsinki Final Act on the Russian language used in the document’s Russian version and beyond, in the fields of terminology and phraseology. First of all, the Final Act was put in a historic context and central specialized terms for the empirical analysis were explained, as well as its methods. After this a glossary of specialized terms and phraseme in the fields of diplomacy/politics, military, law and economy, which were used in the Russian version of the Final Act was created. The glossary entries were provided with translations in English and German, a definition and – if necessary – notes. Then they were looked up in specialist dictionaries. For every field of examination two dictionaries were used: an older one, preferably published before the Final Act, and a newer one. The results of this investigation were used to make statements about the influence of the English language on specialized terms ... : Ziel dieser Masterarbeit war es durch linguistische Analyse Einflüsse der englischen Ausgabe auf Termini und Phraseologismen in der russischen Variante der Helsinki-Schlussakte und möglicherweise darüber hinaus festzustellen. Dazu wurde, nachdem die Schlussakte historisch in Kontext gesetzt und die zentralen Begriffe für die spätere empirische Untersuchung, sowie deren Methoden erklärt waren, ein Glossar der in der russischen Ausgabe der Helsinki-Schlussakte enthaltenen diplomatisch-politischen, militärischen, juristischen und wirtschaftlichen Termini und Phraseologismen erstellt. Die Glossareinträge wurden mit englischer und deutscher Übersetzung, Definition und gegebenenfalls Anmerkungen versehen und in Fachwörterbüchern nachgeschlagen. Es wurden je Fachbereich ein älteres, möglichst vor der Schlussakte erschienenes, und ein jüngeres Wörterbuch verwendet.
