Abstract: Corrected Registration. There were some typos in the model added last time. Analyses have not changed but typos were corrected. In this project, we investigate the role of bilingualism on 18-month-olds' memory flexibility using a Cross-modal transfer task. We replicate the cross-modal transfer task utilized by Rose, Gottfried, & Bridger, 1978. Children are categorized as bilinguals if their exposure percent to a second language, using the Language Exposure Assessment Tool, equals or exceeds 20%. If not, the child is labeled as monolingual. This detailed language exposure tool allows us to examine the role of bilingualism both as a binary (Monolingual vs Bilingual) and continuum factor (Percent L2 exposure). ...
