Abstract:
International audience ; L'outremer français présente une diversité linguistique importante reconnue par l'Etat : sur les 75 langues de France, une cinquantaine sont des langues d'outremer. Même si les programmes de l'Education Nationale s'y appliquent, des adaptations locales, souvent de l'ordre de l'expérimentation, ont pu être menées notamment dans le cadre de l'inclusion de langues locales à l'école. La Guyane française, terre hautement multilingue, est un bon exemple de cette diversité : sur la trentaine de langues présentes sur ce territoire, une dizaine sont reconnues comme 'langues de France'. Ces langues ne sont pas tant un patrimoine régional à conserver que des outils vivants de communication : 3 enfants sur 4 ne parlent pas français avant leur scolarisation mais possèdent des répertoires linguistiques riches de plusieurs langues ou variétés (40% sont au moins trilingues à l'âge de 10 ans). Après avoir rappelé ce contexte, je présenterai les dispositifs bilingues qui se sont développés ces dernières années et montrerai que malgré un cadre et des instructions relativement rigides valorisant la séparation des langues, certaines pratiques pédagogiques innovantes et plurielles émergent et attestent de l'importance du translanguaging pour les enseignants comme pour les élèves.
