Not only does it fix, but it also co-creates reality as man only names those areas of non-linguistic reality that are of value to him. Words, however, not only have content, but also causative effect, especially when is magical meaning attributed to them.The subject of this paper is Turkish magical proper names, whose constituent element is the word "soul". The word "soul" in Turkish has several meanings: life, vitality, valor, man/ being endowed with divine breath, essence, heart, joy, and liking. As component of a name, it is proof of the belief that the name and its meaning will influence the life of its bearer. Giving a name to a child, even before knowing their personality and temperament, is a conscious effort to make the child worthy of his name and to let make him meet the expectations that his parents have with him. In Turkish, every common noun can be a proper name, so each name has a meaning. Those with the component "soul" can be given to both boys and girls, and depending on gender they relate to bravery, great heart and all the virtues that the soul can symbolize. Język – wierzenia – wartości – tureckie imiona magiczne z komponentem „dusza” Język odzwierciedla kulturę i wartości, jakie są istotne dla społeczności posługującej się danym językiem. Nie tylko utrwala lecz także współtworzy rzeczywistość, gdyż człowiek nazywa jedynie te obszary rzeczywistości pozajęzykowej, które stanowią dla niego wartość. Słowa jednak nie tylko zawierają treść, mają też działanie sprawcze, zwłaszcza, gdy przypisuje się im znaczenie magiczne. Tematem niniejszej pracy będą tureckie imiona magiczne, których elementem składowym jest wyraz „dusza”. Sam wyraz „dusza” w języku tureckim posiada kilka znaczeń: życie, witalność, męstwo, człowiek/ istota obdarzona boskim tchnieniem, istota, sedno, serce, radość i wzbudzanie sympatii. Jako komponent imienia jest dowodem na wiarę, że znaczenie imienia wywrze wpływ na życie jego nosiciela. Nadanie dziecku imienia, jeszcze zanim pozna się jego osobowość i temperament jest świadomym dążeniem do tego, by dziecko stało się godne swego imienia, oraz by sprostało oczekiwaniom, jakie wraz z danym imieniem wobec niego posiadają jego rodzice. W języku tureckim każdy rzeczownik pospolity może być imieniem własnym, każde imię posiada więc znaczenie. Te z komponentem „dusza’ nadawane są zarówno chłopcom, jak i dziewczynkom, odwołują się do w zależności od płci, do męstwa, wielkiego serca i wszelkich cnót, jakie dusza może symbolizować.
