Abstract:
The article focuses on the definition of a «linguistic personality» and a «secondary linguistic personality». The article notes importance of a clear definition of these categories due to the urgency of the problem of the formation of a linguistic personality in the multicultural world in language education. The concept of «language personality» in linguistics and in teaching foreign languages is discussed; a review of the main concepts of foreign and native scientists to the interpretation of this term is given. The levels of formation of the linguistic personality are revealed: the zero level is verbal-semantic; the first level is linguo-cognitive or thesaurus; the second level is a motivational one. The primary goal of the modernization of language education today is the formation of such a multicultural linguistic personality. The implementation of this complex problem is a vital necessity, an urgent aim that has a tendency to develop. The result of modern foreign languages education is a formed secondary language personality, which proves that the student’s personality is a determining factor and condition for the success of language education as a result. ; Стаття присвячена визначенню понять «мовна особистість» і «вторинна мовна особистість». У статті акцентовано на важливості чіткого визначення цих категорій через актуальність проблеми формування мовної особистості в полікультурному світі. Проаналізовано тлумачення терміна «мовна особистість» у працях зарубіжних і вітчизняних учених, диференційовано це поняття в лінгвістиці та в навчанні іноземних мов. Виявлено рівні сформованості мовної особистості: нульовий рівень – словесно-семантичний; перший рівень – лінгвокогнітивний, або тезаурус; другий рівень – мотиваційний. Основною метою модернізації мовної освіти сьогодні є формування полікультурної мовної особистості. Реалізація цієї складної проблеми є вимогою часу. Результатом вивчення сучасної іноземної мови є сформована вторинна мовна особистість.
