[spa] Con más de 480 millones de hablantes nativos, el español tiene reconocimiento como lengua internacional de comunicación, lo que impulsa a los jóvenes japoneses a estudiar el idioma español como lengua extranjera. Así, y en atención a la política panhispánica que hoy sustentan las Academias, se hace evidente la necesidad de trabajar en el aula de E/LE el tema de la variación lingüística en la lengua objeto de estudio, cuyas normas cultas muestran algunas tendencias divergentes, pues el español vive una realidad plurinormativa. No obstante, en lo que concierne a la materia de «qué español enseñar», nos encontramos ante un importante vacío teórico, y, en algunos contextos educativos como Japón, no se cuestiona el valor referencial del modelo castellano, el cual se perfila como sinónimo del estándar lingüístico. A partir de este planteamiento, la presente tesis doctoral tiene como punto de partida el supuesto de que la naturaleza plurinormativa del español resulta incompatible con la ideología de la lengua estándar. Asimismo, después de hacer referencia a la ideología de la Lengua nacional que rige la articulación centrípeta del nacionalismo japonés de matriz romántica, se focalizará la atención en el ámbito de E/LE en Japón. Mediante el análisis de los resultados obtenidos del trabajo de campo desarrollado en diferentes centros educativos, se valorará de qué manera puede interferir la concepción monocéntrica de la “lengua” en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de una lengua polinormativa como es el español. Se demostrará que la gran mayoría de los alumnos encuestados presentaron sensibilidad hacia la adquisición de la variedad entendida como estándar, aunque, al mismo tiempo, se mostraron indiferentes con respecto a las demás normas cultas del español, lo cual parece deberse a la falta de conocimiento sobre la variación en los aspectos normativos en la lengua meta. Finalmente, tomando como premisa que el dialecto es una representación simbólica de la identidad, se contemplará la posibilidad de ofrecer una alternativa frente a la proyección monolítica y reduccionista de la comunidad hispanohablante, con el objetivo de propiciar una educación actualizada y de calidad. ; [eng] With more than 480 million native speakers, Spanish is recognized as an international language of communication, a fact that encourages young generation in Japan to study Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL). Thus, and in view of the current pan-Hispanic language policy of the Spanish Language Academies (panhispanism), it becomes necessary to work in the classroom of SFL the issue of linguistic variation in the language under study, whose cultivated norms show some divergent tendencies, that can be referred to as multi-normativity of the Spanish Language. However, as regards the subject of what Spanish to teach, there is an important theoretical gap, and, in some educational contexts such as Japan, educators don’t question the referential value of the Castilian model, which is outlined as if it is a synonym for ‘the standard’. Based on this approach, this thesis has as its starting point the assumption that the multi-normative nature of the Spanish is incompatible with the ideology of the standard language. Likewise, after referring to a National Language ideology which governs the centripetal articulation of the Japanese romantic nationalism, attention will be focused on the field of SFL in Japan. By analyzing the results obtained from the field work carried out in different educational centers, it will be assessed how the monocentric view of the ‘language’ can interfere in the teaching-learning process of a multi-normative language such as Spanish. It will be demonstrated that the great majority of the students surveyed presented sensitivity towards the acquisition of the variety understood as standard, although, at the same time, they were indifferent with respect to the other legitimate norms, which seems to be due to the lack of knowledge on the variation in the normative aspects in the target language. Finally, taking as a premise that the dialect is a symbolic representation of identity, the possibility of offering an alternative to the monolithic and reductionist projection of the Spanish-speaking community will be contemplated, with the aim of providing an up-to-date and quality education.
