Im Dauercamping kommt das Zusammenspiel von Mobilität und Sesshaftigkeit, das dem multilokalen Wohnen eigen ist, in besonderer Weise zum Ausdruck. Welche vielfältigen Beweggründe und Motive dazu führen, dass Menschen sich temporär auf dem Campingplatz niederlassen, wurde in einer empirischen Erhebung mit Feldbeobachtung ermittelt. Der Campingplatz fungiert demnach als eine Art "Gegenwelt",aber auch als pragmatisch gewählter, oft arbeitsbezogener Wohnort. ; Long-term camping is a specific form of residential multilocality. It is also conceived as a specific expression of the dialectics of mobility and immobility inherent in the phenomenon of residential multilocality. The diverse motives that lead people to settle temporarily on the campsite were identified in an empirical survey with field observation. The campsite functions as a kind of "counter-world", but also as a pragmatic form of job-related second home.
