Abstract: Die kognitiven und sprachlichen Voraussetzungen der Schülerinnen und Schüler einer Lerngruppe unterscheiden sich bisweilen deutlich. Dies stellt die Lehrkräfte vor erhebliche Herausforderungen. In der Bewältigung dieser Heterogenität kommt dem sprachsensiblen Unterricht eine herausragende Rolle zu. Der Beitrag diskutiert das bis heute noch vage Konstrukt des sprachsensiblen Fachunterrichts in Hinblick auf seine theoretische und empirische Begründung und skizziert abschliessend einige praktische Schlussfolgerungen. (DIPF/Orig.) ... : Students may differ significantly with respect to their cognitive and linguistic abilities. Teachers are thus faced with major challenges. Language-sensitive teaching or integrating content and language learning plays an outstanding role in overcoming this heterogeneity. In this paper, we discuss the still vague construct of integrating content and language learning with regards to its theoretical and empirical foundations.
