Abstract: International audience ; The aim of this study is to reveal the views to the French culture of the students who are learning French as a foreign language. The objective is to understand the extent to which the student who have participated in this study have mastered the culture of the language and to understand that they possess correct knowledge. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of 10 questions was submitted 50 students. Students who learn French language as a foreign language should know the culture, literature and history of this language. In this study, it was aimed to measure the students' approach on this subject. The data obtained illustrates this following table: student's knowledge of the French language is mostly focused on French stereotypes and it is found that they are not very accustomed with French culture. In addition, student's approaches to French culture are positive and their information is found to be erroneous or insufficient. The student's awareness was mostly concentrated on French education system but the geographic knowledge, historical importance, habits of people of this country were not seen in the results. It is necessary to discuss the results obtained which are based on eating and consumption and which seem to be more stereotypical and how to be transmitted more exactly to the students and to take measures about how to change the correct known mistakes. ; Bu araştırmanın amacı Fransızcanın yabancı dil olarak öğretildiği Fransız dili eğitimi bölümde ilgili dili öğrenen öğrencilerin Fransız kültürüne ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin öğrenmiş oldukları dilin kültürüne ne derece hâkim oldukları ve bilgilerinin ne denli doğru olduğu anlamaya çalışılmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, 50 öğrenciye 10 sorudan oluşan bir anket sunulmuştur. Fransız dilini yabancı dil olarak öğrenen öğrenciler bu dilin kültürünü, edebiyatını, tarihini bilmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, öğrencilerin bu konudaki yaklaşımını ölçmek istenmiştir. Ortaya çıkan veriler şu tabloyu çizmektedir: öğrencilerin Fransız dili hakkındaki bilgileri çoğunlukla Fransız klişeleri üzerine yoğunlaşmakta olup, Fransız kültürüne fazlaca aşina olmadıkları saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin Fransız kültürüne olan yaklaşımları olumlu yönde olup, bilgileri yanlış ya da yetersiz olduğu görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin farkındalıklarının daha çok Fransız eğitim sistemine odaklanmış olup, o ülkenin coğrafik bilgisi, tarihsel önemi, insanların alışkanlıkları, sonuçlarda görülmemiştir. Yeme içme ve tüketim üzerine kurulan ve daha çok klişe gibi gözüken sonuçları tartışıp, öğrencilere nasıl daha doğru aktarılması ve doğru bilinen yanlışları nasıl değiştirebilme konusu hakkında önlemler almak gerektiği düşünülmektedir.
