Visa apresentar e avaliar um projeto de Intervenção Pedagógica Supervisionada relacionado com a competência oral, concretamente, a comunicação oral em situações formais de apresentação de conhecimentos. Saber falar em situações públicas e formais é, sem dúvida, uma competência fundamental na formação linguística e comunicativa das pessoas. Como tal, deve ser trabalhada em sala de aula, de modo a proporcionar aos alunos ferramentas que lhes permitam apresentar um discurso oral claro, objetivo, coerente e adequado. Uma das principais lacunas dos alunos é falar em público sem a devida formalidade e sem a necessária cortesia, centrando-se, quase unicamente, em mostrar que conhecem o tema da exposição, sem adaptarem o seu discurso à situação e sem utilizar os recursos necessários para captar e manter a atenção dos ouvintes. Cabe, então, ao professor criar espaços dentro da sala de aula que promovam o ensino da competência oral formal, organizando atividades orais, com recurso a materiais didáticos adequados ao perfil dos alunos, motivadores e que facilitem a sua aprendizagem. No presente relatório descreve-se o que foi realizado durante o estágio em torno do desenvolvimento da comunicação oral em situações formais de apresentação de conhecimentos, evidenciando quais as atividades realizadas para a prática desta competência, nas aulas de Português e de Espanhol. ; This report is the culmination of the professional traineeship integrated in the Master’s degree in Teaching Portuguese, in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education, and Spanish, in the Basic and Secondary Education, following the investigation-action methodology. This report aims at presenting and evaluating a project of supervised pedagogical intervention focused on the theme of orality, more specifically on oral communication in formal situation of content-based presentation. The ability to speak in public and in formal situations is, undoubtedly, a crucial linguistic and communicative skill that should be part of an invidual’s skill set. As such, it should be worked in the classroom, so as to equip the students with tools that enable them to present a clear, objective, coherent and adequate speech. One of the most recurrent and widespread mistakes made by students, when speaking in public, is not lending the required formality and courtesy required in terms of language. Instead, they focus, almost solely, in displaying their knowledge regarding the contents and themes of the presentation, thus failing to adapt their speech to the situation and without using the necessary resources to engage and maintain the audience’s attention and interest. It is the teachers’ responsibility to create spaces and moments within the classroom the promote the teaching and learning of the usage of formal language, by organizing oral activities and employing suitable didactical materials to the student’s profile so as to motivate them and facilitate their acquisition. The present report describes the work done, during the professional traineeship, to promote the development of oral communication in formal situations of content-based presentations, displaying the activities put forth to achieve this goal, both in Portuguese and Spanish classes alike.
